Principles of Induction (Individual Access)
This on demand training module focuses on key principles of induction. Aimed primarily at those leading further education courses, as well as apprenticeships, welcoming new cohorts of students.
The initial 6 weeks of a new course are key to ensuring that students get off to a good start. In this training, Stef outlines 7 key principles that will help you to make the most of the time you have with new groups of students, with the aim to help them make a positive transition into a new level of study, often in a new educational setting. The training outlines how taking a principled approach will support a meaningful and positive start to a new learner journey, as well as how a principled approach can contribute to learners taking responsibility for their own learning, build confidence and engagement and support retention and achievement in a proactive sustainable way throughout the year.
The training includes elements of evidence based practice and positive psychology, with a real focus on easy and relevant application. The principled approach will allow you to apply to any learning context/level/curriculum area. The training also includes an additional 25 ways to apply some of the key principles from the start of the new academic year/new course.
